Well, ok then.
That was a nice spin and a bit drier than I was expecting. A few slippy roots but nothing too bad.
XTC, BC, SOBC and then we picked up a straggler from the savage group. We waited for him in Powerscourt but there was no sign of him.
Up Maulin, Alpine Trail, down the grassy slope, across the bridge, over to Disco Stu. At the top of GC we turned on the Flux Capacitor and hit 88mph. We finished twenty minutes before we started.

just as a matter of interest , how long did it take you guys..theres an awful lot of climbing involved in that spin, especially on allmountain bikes ?
and after you do Maulin..the climb up from the river is just feckin chronic !

There’s a lot of climbing but it puts the “All” in all mountain spin. I’m not sure of the times but we left at about 7:20 and were back before 10:00.

Hmmm old woman ? Yep that's close enough to how i felt by the top of maulin. I think we put the 'all' in cross country last night. On a side note as i was up there early i went up to the bit of dh track beyond xtc. I rode it and all it's woodwork and jumps. Couldn't help but think what a stupid place it was to put it at the same time i enjoyed riding it . There's wood work on and beside the walkers trail. It's just asking for trouble.
oh we've had complaints about it alright..i think I was supposed to remove it for Coillte..

No it's a big polish lad thats building it, i had his number but have lost it since, me and Sylvia were talking to him one Sat morning after a beginners spin, we said it wasn't a great idea but hey he wasn't going to listen to us.
well..hes a gobsheen so..when we go to ask for venues its that stupid wooden **** that we get complaints about !!
nice spin dudes, so dry & mild... am still in shock though... hadn't done XC in sooooo long (especially in Djouce) I didn't even know there weren't any trees in Gran Canaria anymore
