Schoolboy error I know.
So I belted out to eniskerry and back on the road bike instead.lovely day for a spin hope you lads behaved today
spin of the year so far..Blog report later, once i drink my 2 litres of high fat milk and hang sambos without butter !!
Great spin, huge crowd as usual however only a handful made it to the finish again.
Some people should have done the road spins and some people need to get back on the MTB!!!.
Was suffering but got to the end of the Wocca Wocca's with the main group,more or less.Then discovered I had a punture,with my new fecking tubeless set up!!Had a hissy fit,deceided to stick a tube in it,but Alfie thinks Im not doing it quick enough,so he pushs me to one side and fixs my puncture for me!!LOL From there I on me and Alfie caught the main group,but I suffered the rest of the spin.Came across Bog of Death with Ronan,Richard L,Dave and male model Ray (face scar nearly heeled,he'll be back in Milan soo!! LOL) and we followed the route back to the road.Slowed down to regroup before the road up out of Enniskerry,and picked up KevinL.Some savage,after a puncture Kev rode most of the spin alone.Then back to Palmers at a decent pace,despite the headwind and tired legs.
Cheers for a great spin today. Lovely weather and some nice gruelling climbs. Some amount of mechanicals/punctures though. Poor old Micky was unlucky enough to have Alfie on hand to help get his tyre back on while being told that his granny would have been quicker on the bike. So then we were treated to Micky's joke about artane which none of us knew what the **** he was talking about! I think Alfie was making him nervous and he just started jibbering.
what mechanicals ? Me and Oz and Skids had none..although I think the little man in Skids head was having a mechanical !!
I have to do my Blog later but here was the spin from my perspective.
Got to Palmers this morning, no idea what HR I was at because I left the strap in work on Friday.
Rocked in to see another huge group this morning, had a few words with different people, gave them a lecture about keeping it handy up the road , reminded them about Fridays lecture, nearly got Skids to storm off in a huff !
So off we went..
As Oz as on a mission to get his fitness up before he hits GC next week with TW he was barely restrainable up the hill.
But we got to the Freds mostly intact.
I knew Nipples was gone as it had gotten quiet.
So off we went up and around by the very fast new trail ( there will be mayhem if they leave it that way !!)
Met Jimbo O Carroll and off down MX and across and back up to 3 rock.
Down Metro and up by Toms.
And on to the WW..
Clogged by walkers though but we got to the other side and kept tipping along.
Then Mickky had is meltdown and we waited till Lynchy caught up and off we went , waited for Alfie at the bottom and off up Glencullen and up the switchback Fireroad to the MiniBog.
Down the Rubbish trail with me, Oz and Skids riding 3 abreast in the ditch !
Down bag of Chips the dream mile and back home via enniskerry !
I think the Minibog did for most people.
Poor Micky though, I was looking forward to having the craic with him up the front !! Instead it was me, Oz and the wobbily headed nonsense monster with Andrew as the grownup !
Face was with us at the Mini Bog but it is one tough sucker and the rubbish trail is for mental cases !!!
Some craic great spin.
Its a pity we keep splitting up but some of us are full of the High Fat milk and black banana and its just such a freaking hard game !!
