Looking for Riser Bars

Hi Folks,

I've always used a flat bar, old skool I know but I want to try a set of xc riser bars (lo-rise), looking at a cheap option before I put a few quid into a decent set.....anyone want to shed a cheap pair of bars?

Or if you have a decent set I'll obviosly consider them as long as they don't blow the bank!!

Also any suggestion on width, I was looking on CRC and they go from 630mm to 710mm. I think 660mm looks to be the standard but happy to take advice on this if you have any?? I'm 5ft 8 and ride a medium frame.

I'm running a set of these - £10 new off CRC. Had them a few months after changing from a flat bar, loving them. Nothing fancy like, but do the job great.

They are 660mm wide which is perfect for XC.. personally I wouldn't go over 680mm for an XC bike.. rule of thumb is that your bars should be about as wide as your shoulders...

700mm+ bars are more suited to DH as they offer more leverage and greater control at higher speeds..

I have a set of race face evolve bars in black with 25.4 clamp you can have for 10?

Or some specialized brand in black with 31.8 OS clamp.
