big travel carbon frames

what do ye all recon on carbon framed all mountain big hit bikes , as regards frame strength and life??????????????

Depends if you intend crashing. It wouldn't put me off.

yeah but Seanie is of the larger Variety..Carbon Long travel bikes are more expensive than they deserve to be..

nothing wrong with them at all. Carbon is way stronger than aluminum. It is more spectacular when it fails but it takes so much more force to break than an alloy frame. Yes some of them are way more expensive than they should be. For example the new carbon trek session 9.9 is a stupefying €4500 for the frame only. On the other hand the Santa Cruz V10 carbon is the same price as its aluminum predecessor.
