tips to stop glasses steaming up

i bought a pair of clear "push" glasses from trail riders last weekend. i know from my moto cross days that a people recommend fairy liquid.but does anyone else have any tips to stop em steaming up. someone mentioned something about candlewax???? any help appreciated

There's heaps of products bikers use on their visors to stop them fogging. Any of those will work. I think halfrauds sell the ludicrously priced Muc-off variety.

With a very small drill bit, drill 3 holes in the top of each lens just under the frame. lets in enough air to keep em from steaming, but not so much as to be irritating.

I wear contact lenses instead; these protect the middle bit of the eye- the part I see with and not the stupid while parts that are there for embellishment and show only, they are light weight and never steam up – you really couldn't ask for a better solution really, think of the weight saving over glasses – and I think that guys idea of drilling them out to make them even lighter – I might just try that too.

yeah always a tough one, being "in the business" I get this often. The worst time is the cold nights/mornings (and now days) with hot faces (flushed with excertion not hot in other ways those are usually fogless). Best solution is a pair that fits well, does not rest on the cheek or block the brow to allow airflow around the lens. Try adjusting the temples (arms) or nose pads if you can, failing that the anti-fog products work reasonably well. The issue with fairy liquid etc is the residue on the lens when dry and wiped off can scratch if you not careful and rinse. Be careful drilling as this can cause huge distortion in the lenses if not done well (low torque high speed drill) and may affect the lens fit, if it falls out your fogging issues are solved though. Chat to your local optician, many will have an anti-fog product or if really kind might offer to heat and adjust the frame if its possible

Best done while wearing them to make sure you drill in the right place.

you can get an anti fog liquid in most motorbike shops they use it inside their visors due to their heavy breathing, can't say it works that well, can't remember.
