1000 Euro Hard Tail Recomendations

A mates applied for the "Cycle To Work Scheme" to get a Hard Tail starter bike

It would be nice to have

A light XC style / trail bike

Disc Brakes

At least a 120mm Front Fork Travel
with some sort of lockout or hard firm option

His max spend is a 1000


I reckon a Rockhopper Comp from cycleways for around 870 has most of what he'd needs I don't know anyone who has one but the spec seems alright

If someone could come up with a better suggestion that'd be great.

Also... your "hardtail" will have a permanent "lock out"
