Ok Epic elders and all mtb heads I am looking for a decent Hardtail for one of our Epic youth racers. Young Patrick is looking for a decent Hardtail ,Parkalot Paddy is a dedicated young man and will ride his bike until his legs fall off, The only thing that slows him down is his heavy no good suspension forks and really bad breaks, this bike slows him down. And he is always in the local bike shop getting it fixed. He has a budget of 700 euro any body got anything come on show me what you got. Help this young man out . I forgot to add he is 5 foot 6 inches. Another option is to build up a bike if anybody has any decent frames.Thank you.

Basically, I upgraded to a Full-Sus around Feb of this year and decided to sell the hardtail a few months back. Originally, I advertised the bike on this (& other) sites and although the spec on the bike was pretty damn good I was let down by the Magura Rim Brakes which were on it!
So, over the past few weeks I have upgraded the wheels & disc brakes on my Full-Sus and put the old wheels & brakes on the Cube to make it more appealing to prospective buyers....I've realised that we all like disc brakes on our bikes!
To be honest, €700 is a little lower than I'm looking for (I've been offered €300 for fork alone) but I can offer a light Hardtail with Fox fork, XT Drivetrain, Avid Elixir brakes, etc for the price. I could throw in a spare Flat Syntace Handlebar & Shock pump if interested.
Just to add, the brakes were serviced & bleed on Saturday by the lads in CycleSuperstore.

No worries. I'm just under 5'6" and it fits me fine.......but I've stopped growing so it'd always fit me!:****sure:

Thank you to all of you who helped in Parkalot Paddy quest for a bike. Thanks Gary jay and lankee for the offers of lend of bikes you are all legends. Oz thanks a mill off the link on done deal we got a sweet bike for a great price.
Fantastic glad to hear he got sorted looking forward to seeing him rip it up now he has reliable wheels
