thats a bargain..consider that the Giant Pirates sell you a bog standard Anthem for €1650 with recons and Giant wheels and finishing kit. The Anthem is easily the best full suss XC bike out there. But they really come in to there own when somebody with more money than sense customises them with decent wheels and brakes. Its hardly been used ..yeah 300k on fireroads in Germany..and a couple of epic spins where Smithers walked everything and spent the whole time in Lynchys way.
If I had the money I'd buy that..well if I had to buy bikes at all..
I'm going on the record here. Smithers, you are nuts! The Anthem is an awesome machine and yours is a savage set up. I'm only starting to get the best out of it after 6 months and I know there is a lot more there to untap. I know you said you find it a bit cramped but I'm taller than you (just) and longer in the torso and it feels just right. You've only had it a wet week, give her a bit longer, get to know her more intimately, play around with bars and stem. What rise is on those Crank bars?
sell the stupid thing Smithers..you're too fat for it..I've a fine hardly used 16" Orange Patriot in the Shed , ideal for you ..BB is bonded in, zero maintainence , the wheels have go faster dents, one of them even has a split in it to aid sideways drifting.
Or I can do you a deal on a brand new shopping Trolley I found in the Dargle river..you want to see that bad boy go when you're dressed up as a woman and fecked down Cornelscourt hill !
