Hi all, up for grabs is my beloved Anthem x4. Bought in November 2011 the bike has been meticulously cared for. People throw around the saying that they clean and re-grease their bikes after every ride but mine literally was. Seriously, I had OCD with cleaning and keeping this bike like new. There has been over €300 worth of upgrades over the standard bike, making it the perfect XC/AM bike, I have raced both the Biking blitz and the Gravity Enduro on it. It eats climbs for breakfast and has a long list of descents that it rules over. The tapered headtube keeps things stiff up front and the ride is incredibly plush as pedal bob free, Giant’s Maestro suspension is fantastic. It rails corners, won’t shrink your nuts on the steep stuff and climbs like a billy goat on speed. BikeRadar rated it 4.5/5.

Anyway, it’s in good but used nick. The frame is largely in good condition, there’s a few small areas of scrapes mostly caused by mud and grit on my shorts, nothing major, You wouldn’t be able to see it if you weren’t sitting on the bike. There are 2 chips in the paint, I did apply touch up paint though so it’s not the end of the world, they only went through the first layer of paint. The Forks lowers have a few small scratches, again, touched up so nothing major, and a small area of rotor rub. .
The forks and shock were opened and had the seals lubed and cleaned and new oil put in, as Fox recommends every 25 hours. There is a small scrape on the right stanchion, an exposed bit of metal on my bike rack is the culprit. I do run fork boots on the stanchions and shock at all times, it was just after cleaning when the boots were off that it got scraped. Since then it has never had a problem with leaking oil, letting dirt in or seal wear, the clean internal fork oil proves this.
I bled the brakes earlier this week. The bike will also have a full service including fork and shock rebuild and re lube before sale to ensure that it’s in 110% working order ready to get you up and down faster than you have ever gone. The bushings were recently replaced and the bearings are still as smooth as the day I bought them.
Also included in the sale is:
-2 Maxxis Crossmark tyres 2.1”
-Your choice of a Mud-X mud guard or a Marsh Guard
-Either 203 or 160mm rotors, better braking performance vs. weight savings
-110mm Stock Giant stem
-Bottle cage
I paid €2200 for the bike new in November 2011, I’d like to let the bike go for €1300, Including over €200 of extra equipment and parts, and over €300 of upgrades but let me know what your offers are. I would prefer to sell without pedals. The bike can be viewed any time, text me on 086 6676731.
