Large size mtb wanted

Looking for a large size second hand hardtail or full Suss for a friend of mine who wants to get back on a bike for the first time in about 20 years or so.
He would pay up to about €1000 max.
Anyone looking to get rid of something that might suit?

John Harrington had a very cheap Cube full susser for sale not so long ago ! Not sure if it was a large though ..
