Wanted: FS bike with sufficient travel :-)

Only ever had a 100 mm travel bike, but looking out for a reasonably priced second hand FS for general fun... cycling fun.... just something different.

Think it might be a 140mm travel yoke, but maybe 120mm might be grand, open to convincing.

Ulikely to be any bigger than 140mm as I have no intention of hurling myself off jumps and stuff, far too delicate.

Any views or bikes out there?

Awaiting Graham H's considered response at least, but all welcome and if anyone has something decent they want gone let me know.

Ha! Well now, I don't know much about "reasonably" priced!

120mm is the new 100mm! The 2015 Giant Anthem Sx is 120mm upfront and 100mm out back for example.

So I would regard a 120mm as a starting point for a more fun trail bike.

The Enduro racers are all going for 160mm machines.

I've 127mm out back and 120/150mm up front and it's great for bashing around on, and climbs well too.

Graham, you are a font of technical MTB wisdom, very interesting information about the 2015 Anthem, it looks deadly. Sounds like you have a good setup for a bit of bashing around.
