Looking for some advice on tyresâ¦.... pretty new to this sh1t but having a blast!
Currently running Michelin XCR dry 2.0 tubeless, came on bike (Lapierre X controll 410) they have quite a fine thread, and I donât think they are a good all round tyre for wet weather Etc. Looking for some advice as to what I might change to for a bit more grip .
Type the letters "Don" into the search bar and everything you need to know about types pressures ghetto and tubless will be revealed along with a lot of other even more scary sh1t.
Its like this Dave, who do you know that rides his mountainbike more than anybody else on here ?

maxxis ignitors all the way. I even have panaracers and michelins..once its chunky it'll do the job..
do not listen to part time riders ..besides if you can ride it with baldy tyres then you are riding it properly..

Richie I knew you wouldn’t be able to stay out of this one ! see you on Sunday . you can give me a one to one on tyres . but to be honest it was a genuine question coz current tyres are quite crap, and I think my riding would benefit from a different set .

You won't wrong with Ignitors that's for sure, but the Bulldogs will give you more grip in winter. Don't forget to play with you pressures which will make all the difference. 20psi if you are uber fit, 30psi if you are mortal, don't go any higher. Also no harm to put a slightly wider tyre on the front, 2.3 and a 2.1 on the back.
