any idea how much they charge for a frame?

Just comparing against paint. It cost me about €15-20 to respray my Enduro. plus labour & compressor/spraygun. Took a fair bit of time though. €150 seems pricey untill you add up the time.

its a very fair price. That includes stripping the bike completely and rebuilding it from what mark gilbert was saying. Hardtails are cheaper about 70. The powder coating is alot tougher than spray paint. Also while it may seem pricey to someone like yourself who has experience of spray painting etc most people aren't as experienced or tallented (most of us have seen your pink custom enduro) so there not going to get results as good as yours and probably take twice as long as you to get a half assed diy job. I've seen a good few of the frames these guys have done already and its first class. Even though i have access to all the equipment needed to do a respray i know the time involved in the preparation needed to do a good job. So i think its very reasonably priced.

I'd like to get the hardtail done, but I've just chopter-taped the bejaysus out of it
anyway - 70 euro is pretty good - quick question re; graphics- does anywhere do custom graphics for bikes? ie; just want the original logo on the tube that's all

My name is Jeff and as you may of seen our company is called
Tallaght Powder Coating Ltd.
We are based in Lower Ballymount Rd , Dublin 12 .

We charge between €120-€150 for complete resprays. These prices are based on standard colours like black / white / red / blue etc and then for specialist colours and custom paint jobs with glitters and metallics. Our work is 1st class and our committment to customers is paramount. As well as bicycles we do a huge array of other things like alloy wheels and motorbikes . The pictures below are of a bike we done for a customer who actually found this paticular bike in a skip . Our Stand at the Heatwave show 08 and finished alloy wheels.

This price includes for bicycle overhauls :

> Dipping & Stripping
> Sandblasting
> Zinc etch primer
> Base coat
> Top coat finish

We can organise the graphics although thats not done in -house at Tallaght. A company called Eire-art does it beside us .

Looks very like it. I somehow doubt he found an inbred frame with EBB in a skip, too.

Finish looks great though - way better than most of us would manage with DIY.
