Hardtail

Sick of waiting for my replacement frame so im going to invest in a hard tail through the cycle to work scheme.

I’ve narrowed it down to Grand Canyon AL 8.0 or Specialized Stumpjumper comp HT. My budget is €1500.

I’ve cycled Fergals Canyon which I though was nice. Never been on a Stumpjumper but its been recommended to me.

Just looking for peoples opinions on this? Are there any other bikes you would consider in this price range?

Not sure you can get a Canyon on the scheme. I thought it was limited to approved bike shops?

No issues buying from Canyon. Sure a guy in work here bought from wiggle few weeks ago.

i got the next canyon up the 9 and love it
get them to supply you with the replaceable derailleur hanger too as otherwise you
will have to get one seperately which can take time,also their pedals are half the price than anywhere else plus i got a torque tool with mine which can be handy if you have any carbon bits,some of these items are only on the german section of their site,so look there,
I also rang using skype as they don't reply to emails too often and the call lasted ages so on skype cost about 2 euro as took 20 mins for them to answer

I've the canyon al 8 and its still going 2 years later, I really like it too!

a word of warning though, only buy off them what is available and ready to ship. There can be big delays with them
