Got my eye on one of these bad boys, any views before i take the plunge

Hey, I have an 08 Spicy 516 and I think it's great. Climbs well, goes downhill really well, not particularly heavy for the amount of travel. I'd definitly recommend them, can't go wrong with it. The only thing I had to do with mine is put an E13 DRS(dual ring) chain guide on it as the chain constantly fell off going downhill.

I have one. I think its fantastic. No complaints whatsoever about it. Go for it.

Yeah the thing is only about a 1 1/2 lbs heavier than my fsr xc

Yeah that's Tom's old one. Go for it! Only got a few rides before being sold on.

Hi Gaz I had my eye on one of them aswell but went for the Enduro comp sl 09 and it's the bizz weight is not a problem climbs like n xc racer and decents like a dh bike 6" travel all round fox 32 up front and specialized on the rear with 4 settings soft to firm.I had a lend of Johns 516 and really liked it but the Enduro for me is a better all mountain bike. €2399 spanky new!!!

Sounds like a very nice bike mate but i don't have 2.5k to spend lol. gonna take a good look at this spicey this evening, still haven't made up my mind yet, also seen a lovely Santa cruz Nomad frame, could be an idea to get that and build it up with choice parts.

Had a look last night and to be honest that one's not for me, thanks for the input guys.

Have a nomad. Cant rate them enough. Have 36 Talas on the front adjustable from 100mm to 160mm. Have a dhx5 on the back with propedal. The combination of these means it climbs very easily and descends very well too.
