Trying to bleed shimano brakes. Fluid is coming out of bleed nipple but reservoir isn't draining. Now every little left so lever won't build up resistance. What the feck am I doing wrong?? Any help appreciated :o)

Might have an airleak, or air trapped within it. I normally fill from the nipple end, but this requires a syringe and some tube. air bubbles tend to rise, so bleeding downwards means you are always fighting gravity.
try closing the bleed nipple, and flicking the lever in quickly. you should see tiny bubbles in the resavoir. continue till you feel pressure. Sometimes holding the lever in allows bubbles to rize. use an elastic band on the bar/lever to do this for you.
if there the newer xts make sure u have the freestroke screw all the way out. Then its just a case of pump the lever and watch the bubbles rise never much need to go near the bleed nipple.
pump from the caliper up to the lever , if not call to the shop.
Was trying to bleed the lx levers and if I mastered this I'd graduate to moving the xt levers over onto the lx calipers.....project not getting very far.
Was dreaming of bubbles -so will try again later - not prepared to give up - when I've properly fecked up I'll go the shop route!!!
