Lookin at getting something that I can take out on longer spins, something light, but that still has a bit of bounce, won't be racing or anything. Will be holding onto the Enduro for the gnarlier stuff. Was considering the 2009 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Carbon, but have only started my search. Any feedback or recommendations welcome. Cheers!!
Also, when Specialized introduced their own shocks they seemed to give nothing but trouble, what's the latest with them?? The above mentioned stumpy has Fox Talas 120mm.

Slight exaggeration Stu! Mines an S-Works which leads to problems of it's own! The Stumpjumper is a brilliant bike but local back-up is terrible - they really don't want to know!
Well, in my view, a top price bike should not give problems. why were you on the boardman last time in Djouce?
Headset bearings were gone and Specialized distributor took 3 weeks to send the wrong parts! Some advice from GerryMac and a visit to Al got it sorted in 10 minutes! Really not a problem with the bike just the back-up!

Top bikes should need more work than any of the bikes. There finally tuned pieces of kit and should need loads of tlc to keep them running at there best. Any top level piece of motor sport requires regular engine rebuilds etc to keep them running at there best, why should a bike be any different.

cos i spended loadza cash on it dat i saved up with me burtdae mon e an **** an dont wan spend moor on fixin it. my mate broke he frame an fixed it wd gafa tap n glue. dats all u need. hers a pic of it happning. dats me wd me shield

Rogan, I know you are partial to Specialised (you misguided fool), but you really should check out the TranceX1, 5 inches, lockouts front and back, it's an uphill cruiser and downhill bruiser, what more do you need?
