Got a Reba 2º hand few months ago, i was cycling other day and i have a felling the front wheel was loose, but after have a better look, and check the rub, the wheel and the headset everything feels fine.
So i believe the movement is in the fork legs, if i have the front brakes on and push the bike back and forward the wheel looks like is moving sideways.
Any ideas what may be happening? and most important how to fix it?
I came across a similar problem with a friend's bike recently... the QR skewer would close tight giving the impression the wheel was secure... but when you pulled the front brake and rocked the bike back and forth it was clearly loose inside the dropout.. which also gave the impression the headset was loose.. but it was not..
Check your QR skewer is good and properly tightened... it may give off the impression it is tight but most QR skewers are complete muck and are actually a very poor way of attaching your wheels to your bike...
You would be better off getting a DT Swiss RWS skewer for your bike or a bolt through skewer.. at least you know everything is bolted on good and tight when using them..
It might not be the issue but its often overlooked...
Hone... you obviously haven't got a clue what your talking about....
Why?
How about the recall on a heap of rock shox darts last year because of the wrong bushings used?
Im pretty sure some of the lads who you pay to service you forks would tell you the same?
Rock shox used to be great the last few years have been ****e.
Also without seeing marios bike, it sounds like the most obvious problem is that his cones are loose.
Nothing wrong with a QR skewer, the problem lies with people who cant operate them correctley. The only reason for bigger bolt thru axles is to make the axle stiffer and stronger.
If you have issues with skewers, overtightening can damage the plastic seat for the cam on the lever, this will cause the play.
As I said... its obvious you haven't got a clue what your talking about... so I'm not going to bother with a response... I'd just be wasting my time..!!
