there are not a winter shoe as they have a few mesh panels so let water in but if you used sealskin waterproof socks or overshoes they would be fine. Can't argue with the price and mine are still as good as new after a years hard use. They are very comfortable and good grip if you do have to do a bit of hiking.

The ATAC's are a fantastic pedal... highly under-rated...

These are the bad boys you want for Irish MTB conditions. No mesh over the toe makes them warmer and drier than most others

now I have a pair of these i use in the winter
i think I paid €50 for them about 2 years ago
they are still going and my feet don't get cold in them..I bought them because they were cheap and to save the fancy XC style ones i have..you can walk in them and I only wear litle short runnning socks in them and even though they get soaked from the river crossings I have no problems with them full stop..i wouldn't wear them racing obviously but for hacking around the trails during the Winter..and you can even wear them trailbuilding..no damage or wear on them , which is seriously impressive for me..
and no..my feet are not dead

i wouldn't mind a pair of Atacs to try out..but I have never been abe to find fault with the Shimano resin Caged dx jobs..or the regular SPDs..
if i only had one bike I'd try out the Atacs

Ive always used atac pedals due to a knee injury problem.They have more movement float than other pedals and are great in mud and snow icy conditions.Only downside is brass cleats wear out quicker than steel shimano.

not any more just shimano shoes. However lake are the manufacturer of all the shimano shoes so the quality and fit is the same.
