Helmet mount for DealExtreme light
If anyone is ordering, can they let me know? I think you will also need the 1m extension cable if you plan to put it in your pocket.
Thats a lot cheaper than the €17 I paid for the L&M helmet mount for mine. You're right there Stewart, the cable is fierce short, I put the battery into the top pocket of my camelbak and it works fine, but If you don't have a backpack then it's too short.
I couldn't see it anywhere what the deal with postage ?

However, the cost is 17.62 :confused:, if it works it's cheap. Also it shows as being out of stock at the moment:mad:
Meanwhile I'm going to measure up an exposure helmet mount-Joystick max in my local bike shop which is 22.03 on CRC (ID Number: 69827) and see can I make up an adaptor for the deal-extreme light and this should be pritty easy and would be the best solution. If it works I'll share the love with all :)
If someone has an existing exposure light fitting used on the exposure helmet mount-joystick max mentioned above, if they can measure the diameter of the exposure light with a verniers I'll start work on the prototype adapter straight away!

Ok this is what i've done and it's as cheap as chips, get one of these

Take the lamp off and you have an adjustable head mount, zip tie that to your helmet, put the bike light onto the mount using your rubber band and bob's your auntie. You can get them cheap lamps anywhere for about €8 - 10.

Hey good idea, I like it....but one problem. The lights took 41/2 weeks to come...if I order this it will be spring 2010! For the price cannot go wrong, I'll order one of these and continune to work on the inital option. Cheers

Helmet mount is same as Lupine one. Al stocks Lupine lights and would be able to order a spare fairly quick, if he doesnt already have one in stock.
You don't have to get that exact one, you can get them in woodies or halfords etc.

The Light & Motion or the Lupine mount is yer best option, works perfectly and fits your helmet nice and snuggly, for the sake of €6-8 more than your option Gary it's worth it. And CRC will have it to you in a couple of days if you can't get it in LBS.
