up grading wheelset

Hi all, Just looking for a advise on upgrading my wheelset. The ones I have came with my prophet. I'm looking at a new set to help me get up killmasogue lane in a bit faster, also to help me go a bit faster on the club race night. I've been looking into it for a while and have come up with the hope pro II hubs with ztr olympic rims (the light version). I'm going tubless with Maxxis ignitor tyres (non ust).Bike rader seems to rate these highly. Has any one any experience with these or recommend anything else?...Thanks Ronan.

I'm running Hope 3s with Stans ZTR 355 rims on my Epic - so far they've been fantastic! Really light (sub 1500g for the pair) and great value when compared to some of the Mavic wheelsets too! I love the noise that the Hope Hubs make but I know it annoys some people!

i heard that the Olympic rims are too light better to go 355

I just got James in OC Tuning to build a set of wheels for my prophet, Hope Pro 2 hubs on mavic 819 UST rims with stainless spokes. Not the lightest granted, but bomb-proof and a proper Tubeless set-up. Trouble free and easy to maintain. The wheels are only part of the equation to go faster..

819 rims are a great balance between lightweight and strength - bombproof
UST tires can be lighter then non UST - Hutchinsons especially light
you could save the weight on the tire and have a stronger wheelset so overall light yet strong
but im not an expert...

thanks for all the advise. Took the plunge today. New wheelset hope 2 hubs with the bomdproof 819 rims. Full ust.... Went to OC tuning. (Recognised your bike Richard, James wouldn't let me borrow it for the weekend!) Very good price in there for building wheels, matching if not slightly better than any wheel builder in uk, Merlin or CRC. Good deal on the UST tyres as well, matching the steriling price in euro €33 for maxis ignitors, still dearer that the standard but still nowhere near the €50 in cyclesuperstore. They will have them monday for me. They said they would probablly get a load of XC tyres in, might be a good time to put an order in!...Maybe the LBS can be a better option...
