700c MTB

Is it possible to MTB on a hybrid?....

"If I got 700c wheel with fat tyres I could do a bit of mountain biking on my bike, would it be possible to get cheap fat 700c wheels or would only high end stuff be available?"

Could probably get a set of hardy cyclocross rims & tyres

I have Cotic roadrat with 700c disc wheels on it, jsut checked, and they sell the wheels seperately for £125 - they're sealed bearing disc hubs, and the wheels are plenty strong, I've been riding them offroad with CX tyres
