Cheap tubeless wheelset

Anyone thinking of going proper tubeless on a budget this is a great deal. None of your Stans nonsense and all the associated hassles. Had these rims for 3 years and they took all manner of abuse.

Thanks for the tip...just placed an order for a pair of these.... do I need to get special rim tape? It said in the description only use UST rim tape cant see it anywhere online. Do I need rim tape if I am going tubeless?

No rim tape needed for use with tubeless, youll only need it if you want to run tubes with the wheels.

They are 100% tubeless ready wheels, stick a tyre on, put some goo and they are ready to go. They probably recommend to put a rim tape when using tubes, for extra protection I suppose...

I presume there is tubeless "goo" that I will pick up anywhere.

Do I need to get some sort of air valves or do they normaly come with the wheels?

If I was to go with tubes is it worth paying €11 for the "no flat" rim tape or do they all more or less do the same job?

Goo - Stan's or Joe's sealants are widely available, some tyres don't like certain sealants (they 'go off' and become all sticky inside) like Schwalbe + Stan's. I think Joe's works well with most tyres

Why would put tubes in them? They only time you'll be putting a tube in them is when you slice the tyre on the spin, it'll be fine without the rim tape.

hey max thanks for the reply. The reason for the tubes is i have a number of newish tyres that i want to use but they are not tubeless tyres.

most of them will seal anyway, they don't have to be tubeless ready. You'll need an air compressor, soapy water, goo and some patience. Try to search the forum, I'm quite sure Richie was experimenting with some really ancient tyres and it worked.
