Whatever you do, don't go near Hope Pro2 12mm bolt through hubs with Maxle, I've snapped 2 rear axles, did 2 spins, bang, rear axle gone, bought another axle, fitted it, 2 spins, bang, gone again.
I went on the interweb, apparently this is a widespread problem, axles snapping all over the kip, I've been on to Hope this evening, just waiting for a response.
I'm looking into having an axle turned from stainless steel or something more suitable.
There just isn't enough wall thickness in the axle, it's a 12mm hole through a 15mm axle, that only leaves 1.5mm of wall thickness to support my large self.
But it's not just me, the skinny feckers are breaking them as well.
How come the 150mm wide aren't breaking, could it be the solid bolt through as apposed to the machined maxle lite.
What are the 12mm axles in the Nuke Proof hubs made from, somebody go and find out.
