Waterproof socks??

As embarrassed as I am to put up a post about what kind of socks to buy.....What waterproof socks should I buy???

i've never used them or had any inclination to..so you don't need them..cop on to yourself..if you are really soft buy a pair of those ugly Shimano winterboots !!

I find that they fill with water and that makes it worse. Get over boots if anything

Loath as I am to disagree with two icons of Irish Mountainbiking ....... but Byrner just doesn't feel the cold (he cycles bare-armed all year round for ****s sake!) and Don usually has more sense than to ride his bike during miserable, wet and cold nights! Sealskinz socks are brilliant - they keep your feet reasonably dry and warm even in the worst conditions! I bought 3 pairs at the start of last winter and two of them are still perfect - just be careful not to wash them in too hot water, they don't like that (which explains why only two pairs are still ok!!

I have a set of the sealskinz, wore them once, they filled with water. Get the waterproof boots if anything.

Don't know what's wrong with you lot ..... you're supposed to ride not swim in them!!

lynchy. if it is not too wet yes you are right, they are good especially if you dab a lot into puddles etc. but when it really pisses down, they just fill up,.
I had four hours in wales years ago and i cut a hole in the toe of mine as they were sloshing around.
so a bit like a lot of mtb stuff, it's all down to conditions and rider.
and true about byrner, he just does not feel the cold!!
The overshoes are great as well as when you take them off your shoes are still spotless.
wonder is there a market for wellies with cleats!!
