looking to buy bike

hey guys first time posting :) il be getting stuck into mountain biking (xc with a little downhill when i get the hang of it all) after Christmas and im just looking for some recommendations on what to buy (i want a full suspension bike so im probably very limited to what i can buy) im 6 foot tall and weight about 13.5 stone so i guess im looking at a large frame bike and my budget is anywhere up to about 900.
ive been looking at a few bikes on paulscycles.co.uk these are them:

3 (only problem is they dont have a large frame so if anyone knows any other place i could buy one of these please tell)
Im also interested in upgrading the bike as i go along which is why the giant bikes look good, any advice would be greatly appreciated as its getting a bit confusing :)

Out of those options, the best allrounder is the mongoose (which they have in a large). It has 145mm travel which is a bit more capable going downhill than a 100mm bike. The suspension setup is very good in that they pedal well uphill without too much 'pedal-bob' which is the downside of rear suspension.

If you are going to stick strictly to xc go for a 100mm bike or a hardtail, but if you want to do a bit of everything, 145mm of travel will serve you better.

When you only have one bike to do everything on, it best to get an allrounder. The spec is OK too, maybe upgrade the brakes when you have the cash.

That Lapierre is great value and knocks those others into a ****ed hat for specification and value. Whether it is the bike you need if you are just getting going is another question but if you have your heart set on a FS then that is a lot of bike for under a grand.
