Ordered a Sram gxp pressfit BB for my MTB. When it arrived i realised the BB was for a road bike (it was never stipulated on the site which kinda bike it was for, though I should have checked).

I emailed the supplier and they said 'The BB you ordered can be used on any bike with a GXP BB, you will need to use the spacers - there should be instructions for MTB in the box.' The instructions actually states that 'road BB components are not interchangeable with mtb BB components' but i am not sure if they are just covering themselves.

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these kind of bottom brackets, I don't want to have to send it back.
