While I was cleaning the bike this evening I caught the cloth on the tiny little clip that goes at the end of the aluminium bar that pushes through the top of the pads on my XTR brakes! I heard a "ping" and there it was ........ gone! I searched all over the place but no luck! I know it's not essential but I'm such an anal **** that I'd like to replace it - anyone got one lying around?

We all know it wasn't a cheap cloth that caught it but a mink lined pipe cleaner.
Don't ride without that clip, next to go is the bar, then the pads, then the whole caliper and rotor. It's a surprisingly important component!

How did I know I wouldn't get much help around here ......
I changed my avid elixir pads a few weeks ago, put in genuine avid replacements which came with a spare pin and clip, not sure if there the same
as the xtr ones but I can try and dig it out for you and see if it fits tomorrow!?

Don't. Avid clips are DOT 4, shimano are mineral. It will corrode the pin.
