In a weekend of a million wonderful moments one will stay with me forever, standing at Big Vinnie waiting for the final Blast, the thunder of the helicopter rolls in, the noise from the waiting crowd rises, and the first riders to appear are Robin and Dan Atherton, shoulder to shoulder, we all went freaking mad, Dan jumps Big Vinne, Robin gains time going left, and they disappear side by side, anyone who knows Robin new at that point that he had just won the Blast. It was a golden moment in the history of mtb in Ireland.
Well i'd like to give a massive thank you to all my marshals today. like i said at the beginning it's not the most glamorous job but the event can't happen without you. You were all super today, no one b*tched or moaned and many of you stayed up at ur posts all day! Some of you higher up i know were in some really exposed places and were frozen to the bone! everyone used their common sense and there was no messing!

Yea, well done everybody, fantastic day. As richie said too many people to thank but in particular obviously Richie and Luke and Alfie and Shona...etc etc... You get the idea! Thanks everyone!
massive thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it all happen ,that was the best bike event i have ever been to, singletrack magazine will have to move us up the list of best events.
Thanks everyone for all the amazing help. No matter how crazy the request there was always someone there willing to lend a hand.
Even when I had no fight left in me and Redbull had me on the ropes Alfie was in my corner, tagged in for a key 5min, gave me a few choice words and sent me back out swinging!
one day you'll have to choose between your lovely girlfriend in the USA and me..has she ever give you control of a helicopter ?
