Well the lads came and went with the Red Bull machine, they seemed like sounds lads, anyone I spoke to had nothing but good to say about them. I was up on the expressway when they came up before the races and were sessioning some jumps for their photographer. I asked could Shona lie behind the jump while the lads jumped over her, they thought it was a great idea so a very chuffed daughter lay down, gave two thumbs up and the lads did a humungous jump over her. I hope to get the pic from the photographer, it made her day.

That's deadly! I was talking to Gee, and he's a lovely guy. Very grounded. Easy to chat to. He was probably wondering who the little red faced Irish woman was, but didn't let on...
now..i have met a lot of MTB legends..and all of them have been absolute ladies and gentlemen, the Youtubers love to show them as prima donners..but I have yet to meet one who is nothing other than genuine. Both boys told me it was the hardest thing they have ever done.
They will probably join EPIC next year..
dont worry..theres a load being booted out next week so theres room for them..and theres a couple coming back who should never have left in the first place !!

i was led to believe gee was a prima donna but having met him and dan i can say thats not the case. i asked gee for his jersey to sell at a charity auction and he obliged without hesitating. both of them were very good with people asking for autographs and photos which must be a bit irritating.

Yes have to agree with John, we had a good laugh with them just before the main blast in the top forest, easy going, sound lads, great buzz seeing them in ( as Don said ) " our little race" !!
Amazing lads. So sound, must have been completely bugged with every man and their dog asking for autographs and photos but they stuck it til the end! True heroes!
