I know a bit, but wouldn't be an SEO guy - a lot of our work relies on SEO, so its our job to know what they know I guess.

depends on what level you're after; I can definitely point you in the right direction if you're just getting going and want to DiY it, or else theres plenty of SEO consultants out there, straight out of geek.com, who would work for a few cans of Monster and would do the ground work for you.

I just finished a diploma in online marketing from the digital marketing institute and can put u in touch with one of the best SEO or PPC heads in the country. I'm currently doing my diploma on my own business. Pm me don if you want some advice.

be prepared to spend an aweful lot of time and especially patience - google is literally a machine, so any changes you make may not show up for months, or not at all, and theres no way to know as theres no-one in google you can call up.

www.klout.com is a new site that (attempts to) measure your social media ranking - my site is a 20, not sure what the scale is - but Rory McIlroy scores a 75 and is seen as a 'thought-leader'!

... and these days its all about Google Panda and your site having unique, quality content.

That said social media is a massive factor in SEO, but as sk8board content is king when it comes to hitting hit on Google or other search engines.

Thats not to say the classic dark art of Key Word Research is a waste of time but its not quiet what it once was.

Content and organic back links is wat you want to be aiming for, as I said Laim from MAD is the pro when Im more an enthuastic amateur who builds website and the like on the side.
