Just actually noticed that - October 2nd in Ornan, France (fly to Geneva) there is a "World Cup Marathon" (anyone can enter) - I raced it a few years ago and it has some of the most technical singletrack descents I have ridden - an amazing race and home to the 2012 Marathon World Championships.
Worth considering if you still have racing in your legs.
