Attention: Prospective members - Spin: Sat 21 Jan 2012, 10.00 Lambe Doyles

As the club secretary has/will post – the club is open to allowing new members join as we have been inundated with requests of late. . . well (Cue: trumpets) now's your chance.

This is not a beginner spin, it's for people who want to join Epic, who are keen mountain bikers who want to be a part of a very special club. Folks who love riding their bikes, being part of a club, who are willing to help out when needed (and don’t need to be called upon to do so).

The club will run 4 spins over the next 4 Saturdays. This week we meet at lamb Doyle's pub at 10.00 – this means you are ready to go at 10.00 (you'll learn quickly what happens if you're late) with all the spares that you need, pump, tubes, some food, a drink, and of course a working bike. Don’t be like the guy we met up 3rock running tyres with tubes who got a flat and all he had was a C02 canister. . .? (true story)

All EPIC members are welcome on these spins but in particular the people who normally do Shona’s Saturday Spin.

I'll be along as this will be my last spin before I pack up the bike for America.

I would be very keen on joining, can ride, have all the spares and bike is sound, but the lungs and legs are feeecckkked, how fast will we be travelling?

great spin all, great to have some living legends along to show us what its all about (Richie, Carol, Colm, Oscar, young Max, Terry) , an honour to have the great Mr. Luke Smaul out on his last Epic spin for a while (best of luck in the USA bro!) - weird that he pulled that stunt where he jumped on the new lad, that was priceless - my camera (on the phone) wasn't quick enough to capture it, but my God what a weird moment that was . . . unintentional of course.

Thanks to Colm for choosing the route, all the folks for showing up, I think people were getting tired towards the end, some amazing tumbles! I hope everyone's fine! keep up the great work!

yeah..great to see so many out today, loads from IMBRC as well , the whole place was jammed with people , pity the complete lack of facilities at Ticknock !
Fake Don was out, I think the Polish guy was Pieter..
