Introduction to Epic Spin Sat 28 Jan 2012: Djouce

Hi All, the second in a series of spins for prospective members. All welcome.

This week we meet at Djouce for a spin on Saturday the 28 Januay 2012, at 10.00 – this means you are ready to go at 10.00 with all the spares that you need, pump, tubes, some food, a drink, and of course a working bike, spirit of adventure, a giddy-disposition, 80PSI in the tyres, 2,120 PSI in the forks. . .

All welcome; especially those who made it last week, which was a fantastic spin!

I'm going to leave the desk and head to this.

After being less than active as of late the legs / lungs ain't up to a whole lot not that they were with to begin.

However I'm happy to cruise along but if in a jock I'm happy to be dropped and do my own thing.

Was up there on Wed - in good nick! Also, spotted a rubbish collector-truck pulling into Ballinastoe carpark. Must have hit Djouce first, didn't see any rubbish there (except for my riding skills of course!). Although, it is a big place... ;-)

I am delighted with your trail conditions update. You're obviously new to this?

Harri and all that made today happen, a rather event full day for us after having a run in with some ice at the hill above Djouce car park leaving to poor wagon stranded in a dike (not the fun kind)



After getting a helpful local in his jeep to help me back on the road we were playing catchup to the main group but all was grand when we caught them at the bottom of benchcut.

After that was a series of trails with me dragging my fat arse last up most of the climbs, but sure no surprise there.

I caught a few snaps just as we finished up, different people same angle







Thanks again for all who made today happen, oh and if anyone can explain to me how a spin can start / finish in same place but still have more up than down that would be great.
