getting phattie sorted advice please

Hello there,

It looks as though i am keeping my Kona Coiler so i need to ge the weight off it as much as i can with the usual constraints of money.

So after getting some advice on lighter forks and a different rear shock i would be interested to hear what the peeps on here have as ways of ideas on this.

I want to use this for racing dh this year as well as regular weekend off road outings. I would prefer to stick to a fork of 150mm travel no less to replace the marazochi drops offs that are on it and to replace the vanilla r on the back for something lighter that will take to downhill as well.

I am in the middle of chnging the wheels to hopes with lighter rims.

Any other tips would be welcome as well.

so there you go!
To be honest, you'll spend a fortune, and never get there. It is not a DH bike, nor an mountain bike. Start again, with the likes of AL's sx, with an air fork. Just my tuppence worth.
i thouht about that and its just not selling to start with and b the offers i ahev got are mad. there just seems to be too many great bikes at low prices so after researching it again i think the frame is up to what i am can do on it anyway! thanks for the tupence though.
