Question for you Garmin users out there

My new road bike has Ridesense built in, Giant’s all-new chainstay-integrated, wireless data transmitter. The removable transmitter sends wheel-speed and cadence information directly to any ANT+ compatible computer.

So my question, which Garmin would you recommend for use that has the ANT+ function available??

Damo, I'd go for the one I have the 800...

Most of the roadies with Powertaps use the 500! I'd send a PM to Ryan, I'm sure he'd put you right!

So whats the main difference between the 500 & 800??

The 800 has uploadable / downloadable maps and lots of features etc...

The 500 has everything you need (buy the performance bundle with HR strap). You dont have power cranks so makes no difference, and if you do buy them il cut the chainstays off your new baby!

800 is great for the maps and touch screen, the 500 does what you need without the bigger display... 500 may look more compact on your fancy bike! :)

So the 500 will do the trick by the sounds of it, and your right Graham, it will look great on the new rothar... What a day, I cannot wait for the spin this evening

i believe Expert cycles have a full range of Garmins to suit even the most jaded bicycle goober
