Having trouble getting the new bike on the house insurance? Does anyone know I there is such thing as bike insurance? Or does the club have a group scheme etc?

There are various schemes around but they tend to be very expensive!

we got our renters insurance with 123.ie and can name the bikes as individual items, we have about 5 bikes listed on the policy plus some jewelery. total cost for insurance of house contents and bike was less than €300. The bikes are even covered for 60days outside of ireland but they are not covered if you race!
I was with 123.ie as well, seemed to be the best of them. As I was just renting a house at the time, I only had contents insurance, but had the bikes listed same as Shona. Cost around €20 per month.
