Done! Got a sneak peak of some of the track last week at the sperrin sportive, looks great, if it doesn't rain it'll be deadly if it does rain it'll be a load of laughs
Well that was uber shlompy and midges were relentless but great racing as usual. I have no clue where everyone finished as I fecked off out of that insect infested hell as soon as I could. I know that Erica won her race and she was delighted with it so well done!
I had a good steady 5 laps with some great battles with Mark (until his chain broke), Tomek and some lad I didn't know. Finished in 4th which should put me in a nice position in GC, another glass trophy for the shelf yay!
That's my XC season goals accomplished, top 5 overall and a podium in S1, I'll settle for that!
Oh and thanks to Erica for the bottles and Gary for photos and great encouragement, he was everywhere at once like always!
Good result Max and it was good close racing until my problems (ive had decent luck regarding mechanicals this year), its been a really good race series on good tracks, tough and messy today but great racetrack:)
Fantastic course really enjoyed it,lots of fire road for sprints,fast flowing single track a schlompy section that was like the gravity enduro backwards!! well done to erica on her win and to everyone who travelled and raced..big thanks to gary kid for all the encouragment throughout the race and photos also.
That was AWESOME! I'm still smiling! Great race despite the gajillion midgie bites, had a great battle with Aine, great course, just one or 2 teeney puddles :) Thanks to all for the encouragement and well done to everyone that travelled and raced, great racing!
well that was well worth the effort, davagh is truly a great race track and i enjoyed racing it more than last year even though i got podium last time round. fair play to the EPIC riders for headin up, Colm beat Handjob, Max got an impressive 4th and Erica got 1st. race of the day was definitely Erica & Aine... they were wheel to wheel for the entire race and Erica got the sprint to the line... fantastic racing. hope the loserleisure spin was good...
