Lapierre Paint Quality

2 weeks ago I picked up my new Zesty 314. I absolutely love it.
One issue I do have with it is the quality of the paintwork.

2 rides in and there are a number of issues with the paintwork:
> Either side of the headset, the paintwork is worn down almost to the bare metal due to cable rub.
> There are numerous scuffs on the frame.
> The cable that runs across one of the suspension joints near the bottom bracket has removed the paint completely. Its bare alloy already. Its not easily visible but is another example of how delicate the paint is.

I've also got a Lapierre Shaper and have had the same problem with the paintwork. Any contact with hard objects and it scratches far too easily.

Has anyone else experienced issues like this with Lapierres?

It's the same for all bikes and is not soley a baguette bike issue

I'd bring it back to where you bought it, the paintwork is obviously faulty...

It took over 1 year for my GIANT bike to get like that....

I though it was from not hand washing my 514.

You should ride more your bike !

The Carbon on my 914 cant take even the smallest knock or it will chip, have to touch her up every couple of weeks with lacquer...

You can't keep paint on a mtb good if your using it the way it's supposed to be used my felt 6 carbon every time I wash it there is a new chip or scratch or heal rub or cable rub tape it up if u don't want it scratched other wise just ENJOY RIDING YOUR BIKE !!!!!

Well I have had more than one Lapierre and more than one other brand of Mountainbike and they are all the same, I have been riding the living daylights out of my 514 and the only damage to it is rub from the poxy car rack I was using, I had an ancient Carbone race machine that I wore holes in..like the man said get some Helicopter tape.

Just suprised that MTB paintwork on a higher end bike isn't a little more resistant. I have a cheap old Giant Boulder and the paint can take a huge amount of beating.
