need advice .

i treaded the caliper mount on the fork , is there anyway of fixing this or do i need to replace the fork .

HA brilliant that makes lots of sense, put some DH tyres onto it and it will be lovely!

If you had a good set of taps you could attempt to thread the hole one size bigger then it was - m6 to m7. Just make sure that you can fit an M7 bolt through the caliper before you do! TBH if the threaded section is on the side of the brake mount that is pulling away from the fork rather then the side pushing towards it ( think of the rotation of the disk and the pressure exerted on the mount ) I probably wouldn't trust it if your doing heavy braking.

What's the steerer tube length?

Bring it to Expert Cycles, they can tap it or dress it and re-tap it

Bring it to your local bike shop!!!! End off,don't try fix it yourself you might make it worse!!

I managed to fix the threads on my son's rock shox dart with an m6 helicoil, its a handy enough job if you have right tools, your local bike shop should be able to do it for you at a reasonable price.
