ok..ok..i'll kick the debate off so, what is the deal with the Commission for next year, have we got somebody with a set of balls to take on the organising and development of the Sport, both in DH and XC. Has anybody nominated anybody for the empty positions on the Commission or does anybody care ? I have to listen to a lot of talk all the time, I've done more time on the Offroad Commission than anybody in more positions, the present Commission are basically stepping down, is there anybody to step up and take on the job of XC Co Ordinator..all you have to do is co-ordinate the clubs to run a 6 race series and get the Nationals decided.
Its simple if you actually give a sh*t about the sport.
I will help you but I'm not interested in being on the Commission. The thing is if you want to race a decent XC series then you are going to need an xc co ordinator, somebody who genuinely cares about XC racing and no other Discipline and races them/ has raced them and wants to see it succeed.
Loads of clubs want to run an xc nps, they just need to be asked.
Just don't turn around in January and start wondering about it then..I won't be at the AGM, I am in work and besides I don't want to have to endure listening to eejits saying what a great DH and XC nps we had when its patently obvious that both were flops , there are plenty of brilliant people in this community that should be bullied, cajoled and bribed in to taking up these positions, heres my fantasy Offroad Commission Team

There shouldn't even need to be a vote, these people should be just blackmailed or bribed in to the roles, all of them have been around a while, all of them could make a huge difference to the development of Irish Mountainbiking .
I put 2 reps in the xc/dh co ordinators jobs because thats whats needed .
holy Baby Jesus and his rocket launcher, I don't know whether to be flattered or afraid for my life..the Offroad Commission have put a link to this from their Facebook page..I did send an email to everybody to nominate me as Chairman, I hope you all got it..if not then too bad. Sometimes the Internet can be a dodgy place..I am looking forward to what stalwarts get voted in this year to run our NPS' for us.
