Just wondering what type of lights to get?
Have been told loads of places to get them,
but i'm wondering what is the best lights "lume" wise?
Have seen anything from 100 lume up to 1000 lume
What would people advise?

I have the hope vision 4 now 3 years and still going strong but there very pricey, 900 lumens is perfect. But a second light is handy so i bought the cheaper Magic Shine 1100lumen light and its alot lighter and brighter than the hope. Deal Extreme usually has some cheap magicshine lights at great price!
Yeah i got the magicshine mj880 a month ago and for the price it was a steal 160e unreal light when on full blast and 5 light settings , they even have a battery indicator which a lot of lights for 2-3 times the money don't have ... I also have hope vision 4s and although there a v good light i don't think i would buy them again if i can get the magicshines for that money !! I only hope they last as long as the vision 4s do !!

Aah sure time will tell ! For 160e its not going to keep me awake at night even if they do fall apart after a year !! I better get another set just incase !! haha ...
This post comes up every year, and Hope lights are the winner, if you need a 1000 lumens just wait until its daytime to ride your bike!! I got hope 2 in 2010 and they are still going strong, and I use them twice a week all winter and never had a bother for €200 it was the best buy yet!!! I have no idea of the lumens but they light up the trails perfect!! unless you are an elderly member like say Lynchy he has flood lights from the old landsdown pitch hahahaaha and he still cant see, poor fella!!
I absolutely hate night riding..I can't see, even with a 1000 lumen light..but the Hopes are by far the best value light out there without a doubt. Nothing even comes close for value, reliability and performance.
they are very bright 3 settings 1500 lumens and clip on to helmet or bars cost 60 dollars , i would have bought hope lights but at 250 euro there are expensive
I bought hope vision and the wire came loose on it within a few months. I fixed it - and now its gone missing (think I lent it to someone last year but have no clue who)
Bought the magicshine light about three years ago. Still going strong. It was way brighter than the hope, and much easier to attach to the helmet.
