Croagh Patrick mtbing

Not long ago some of the more crazy mtberz here where going to climb Croagh Patrick and ride down it...Did it ever happen??? How did yee get on???

I was down there over the weekend and climbed only some of it due to adverse weather...
Jeeez its a good climb for anyone the best of time...but with a bike on your back..crazy.

Id say its some crack coming down...

Did this last year. Two hours of wondering what you're doing here, followed by twenty minutes of pure awesome deadlyness. A classic.

I don't think the EPIC trip to Croagh Patrick happened. Maybe this year?

Don't think the big trip happened but I will be planning it this year nothing on the cards yet but as the weather gets a bit better keep an eye out, it will be done this year.

Don't let the weather get too good or you'll be dodging bus loads of walkers.
Not the hardened MTB hating types mind you, more a "look at those mad fella's "
types.
On the upper section they will jump out of your way but only on to the hard packed bits leaving you to surf the loose stuff.

Sweet divinity, there's a jax up there?! Where does it all go? Do the pilgrims carry it down with them as some sort of penance.

Pilgrims walk up one side other stuff goes down the other side.
I tell ya though it's a penance carrying your bike up. If your not religious you'll be suprised how many religious utterings you'll make on the trip up and especially on the way down.
