Ah Mountainbiking..I can never enjoy it too much, except feckin night riding. I hate it, I can't see a feckin thing and i am forever crashing into stuff and stumbling along the singletrack but hey when the weathers unseasonally mild and dry, what else are you going to do. So I took the troops out to Djouce via Enniskerry and Crone. Nearly in Crone on a dark lane smelling of manure I got a phone call from John Doris wondering where we were..he was at Djouce so I got him to meet us at Crone..but he turned up in his car with Jacqui , so with a bit of logistical shennanigans I sent Doris back to Djouce and off we went.
Up via ride rock and down through the hilarious cliff covered in leaves and brambles , I went over the bars and landed on my head on a stump and cut myself to ribbons !! the rest of the gang had a pile up and we all disappeared like Clown ninjas down the track..classic EPIC nonsense.
Into powerscourt , over a gate and messed with the Giant IceCream Cone and at the bottom of the Earls Drive we picked up Johnny Doris and got on our way up the Drive..sliddery all over the place with the leaves and sh*t along by the old lake and up to the secret trail, down and across to Catskin ..then down GC across the river onto sliddery ( what a trail) and back across the river and up the fire road and back on the road to the cars with Terry setting the pace on his XC hardtail race machine with Dave Lawless and Alfie chasing him down followed by Steo and Jack , legs screaming up the horrible climb past Powerscourt Gardens then me and the pack behind ! Giant Trances are not roadbikes lads..the feckin state of you lot !! Great spin, great gang out.that crazy ******* Doris thought we were meeting at 7.15 !!
