Howdy for some time now we have has a stick dropper blocking some of the trails on the Leadmines, now they are more of a nuisance than anything but occasionally they manage to drag a fairsized one that if you didn't see coming you could wreck your bike on. I have spoke to the Garda in Stepaside and while they can really do nothing without a seeing them themselves or having a photo they do consider it malicious. So if you see them at it try and get a photo for me. I spoke to a couple of locals that I know up there and they have a pain in there arses with them as well , they walk their dogs and think its pathetic. If you are riding up there dont ride around the sticks fire them as far away from the trail as you can, they will soon get fed up if they have to keep wandering around looking for branches. In most cases its just a couple of sticks and will break when you ride over them. Like I say, its more of an irritation than anything else and ruins your enjoyment of the trails because you are expecting something stupid around the corner.
There are a group of Budokan Martial artists up there at the weekends , I know some of them and they've never seen this eejit but if they do they will report them as well..that would be funny sh"t , a load of lads dressed as Ninjas complaining about a little old lady putting sticks on a trail.
Its rarely on the EPIC trail, its around the back near the road.
I believe the Rock dropper is back on 3 Rock as well..whats wrong with these people ?
