Reports are in that Erica won S2 Ladies. We dominated Senior 3 and Senior 2 with Colm McG finishing 4th, Terry in 5th, Stevep 7th, Niall Q 8th ! and of course Young Max came second in juniors to David Monty ! so well done everybody !

Probably the nicest loop I've ever raced, it had a really interesting mix of drops, roots, everything really condensed into 4.5km, defo suited the stronger lads as a couple of places u could red line it. I got a blistering start, first through a couple of bends in the field, but it was short lived, 3 fast lads tore by me and then I dabbed early and Quinlan and mc Garvey got through!!! Kept motoring and after another lap I had passed Quinlan, but he wasn't having that, and made a bold move on one of the drops to go by me, got it wrong and I went off down the hill(sorry Niall). Then I relaxed a bit on 3rd lap and pollock came out of nowhere at the start of last lap, he caught me and passed so I kept pace till the last climb and then hit the nitros, blasted past and no sign of him, phew!! I couldnt believe it,Home and 5th, happy days

But I did all the driving 600kms too....... and not so a result bad for only getting out on the bike a couple of times in this month.
As teachers said in school...can do better, will do next time !!

Well done Killarney and Max P for an extremely well run event. The course was super and got the thumbs up from everyone I spoke to. Some excellent EPIC results today, the stand-out being Erica's win in S2 showing a clean pair of heels to the competition. And young Max of course, second behind Superman Monty who, if I'm not mistaken, passed all but two S1 riders having started a minute behind them! Max led the field away before Monty passed him going in to the woods but held position for the remaining four laps to finish a strong second ahead of Dan who was racing out of his skin. Some fantastic battles going on in S2, Terry and CMcG trading places several times, great to watch and well done Hoppo for wining S3. I'm a bit horse after spending the afternoon roaring on EPIC riders. Photos will follow but not tonight.
