Just a.quick warning to anyone driving a high jeep / car, they have done some repair work on the surface in Djouce carpark and the brains behind the operation decided to pack the gravel up underneath the entrance barrier. Combine that with some one after hitting into to it the clearance is no longer the same.
I clipped a wheel on my bike before I realised, a from mad cracked his aerial and gave a nice textured finish to the top of his Land Rover.
Usually it's a tight fit if I have the bike on like this, thankfully I was going super slow (Just like my bike riding) otherwise my rear wheel might have a serious flat spot right now.
Why cant they just put in a 1.9m barrier, hopefully it was a cheap job and the gravel will just get washed awy by the rain. I guess I'll be parking outside on the road from now. No forward thinking at all, let put a barrier so vans have to park on the road!
Just so you know after a quick chat with other Graham (Hand) I've edited both your post and min just to save locking or deleting the thread. We don't really moderate any content on the board well at least I don't anyway.
The reason I did in this case was that MTB clubs (Us and others) rely on land owners for access to run events both private and other for permission to run events on their land. It's for that reason it is sometimes best to express 'firm' personal views outside of public view-able internet forums.
That's just my view of things and does not represent that of the club / committee etc.
