Extending the trails in Threerock!

I see it is the same lad that designed the trails in Rostrevor so I'd be hopeful of the same quality

Well in other words lets just copy everything they do up north!!

Let's hope the trails are a bit more interesting... More so than the Narrow fireroad type tracks they have now, which are not maintained at all. All they are used for by more expierienced bikers is to get to the good trails!

Less expierienced bikers tend to avoid the upper trail, and the lower trail is full of alternate lines around any of the rocky features...

So basically the current trails are boring for the expierienced and hazardous in places for those who are newer to mountain biking..

Coillte have a massive opportunity to get this right, and build some trails which people will drive a few hours to use, or indeed come from abroad.
Rostrevor and Davagh are great, but having trails right on the doorstep of a big city would be even better...

Let's hope they do get someone like Dafydd Davies in to design the trails and not someone with a crayon and a piece of paper from Coillte...

Any improvement to the existing set up would be a bonus and getting an experienced trail builder on board instead of a Coilte pen pusher would be a major coup... Maybe they're noticing all the southern reg cars heading across the boarder every weekend to Davagh and Rostrevor and want a slice of the pie! Not before time either. I just hope they provide the facilities to enhance the exerience for visitors. It has to be a good thing :)
