I'm going in S3 looking forward to it. Course is very different last year and MAD have done excellent work and put in loads of new section so it is going to be a cracker not to be missed!
Get yourself signed up! We've put on a proper tough XC course! From old classics such as the shizzle and forgotten climb, to some new additions such as the Trench of Despair climb, Ripper and Busaras, the combination of old and new makes up a course that will really test all your skills and fitness!
With that course in mind, we would like to preserve it as much as possible. Due to the wet couple of days forecast ahead, and potentially a wet race day we're trying to keep the course in the best shape possible, so we would ask that you please refrain from riding the NPS course between now and Saturday. Keep it as fast as possible for race day!
If you don't know the route, then the trails to avoid are:
King's Highway
Schizzle
Ripper
Forgotten
The Trench of Despair
Busáras
Good stuff going to be some hard but good racing this weekend. Great to see so many Epic members signed up.
By any chance is there anyone around that would be able to do a few bottles? I know it is asking a lot but it would be greatly appreciated by myself and the others racing and I'd be more than happy to repay someone with a pint in lambs after any club race!
Thanks looking forward to it see you all Saturday!
Hi Chris I may not be racing tomorrow due to a stupid bug I picked up from work.
I so I will gladly do bottles for people how are racing, just write your names on the bottles and shout if you can.
Goo luck to everyone.
best of luck to all racing, great stat's on the site there in terms of who's signed up and wheel size - it's amazing 650b has exploded, look how many are registered - any they're only around a while, and there seems to be more 29er & 650s than 26ers, life moves fast in the world of MTB, [still surely the 35mm stem and bars is just a waste of time. . .]
Thanks a lot Ben but if your fit to race go for it! If you want a lift up Ben send us a message I'm passing that way!
Graham nice to have a bottle if needed and also took a tumble is Slade and dropped my bottle and spent more time getting that back then getting up off me hole and had I got a bottle at the feed zone would have left it! Also I'd say second bottle is a must for s2/s1's riders. Better to be over prepared then under prepared! And sure if I don't use a second one I can alway pour it over your head!
