For those of u living under a rock the Enduro is happening in 3 rock tomorrow! Jack, Orla, Gary and myself have been hanging out there for the last few weeks and are psyched for the race tomorrow. As always Niall has strung together the deadliest trails, mixing old and new.
The atmosphere at bike mtn bike events is deadly and this one is no different. Would be nice to see s few more epic riders doing these races, you don't need a huge bike for these races, And as I said the trails are just super
I went up yesterday morning for a look and did a couple of the stages. It looks like deadly craic.
I would be mad keen to do one later this summer if any other Enduro virgins want to join me?
Today was amazing! Super trails, great craic and the rain held off til the very end. We had two podiums today Andrew Boland and Orla both got third. Orla has a great day on the trails dispite a few mishaps she held on and stayed on her bike.
I had a great day, did two good stages then got steadily worse. Had a spill on the last stage overcooking it on the damn metro.
In the end came in 6th place, 30secs behind Orla. Overall very happy. All in all there was only 90 seconds between the top 6 ladies.
Loved the whole thing.
Buzzing after today. Ye, loads of chain trouble all day and nearly cried with frustration on the start of 5, after going steady all day I thought the chain was going to fall apart on the last stage! Once gravity took over I just went for it and survived! Well done Orla, great to see the girls slogging it out and putting in great times. The amount of lad's smoking in this is shocking, just don't get that in XC! Well done to the epic crew, let's keep the podiums coming.
Nice one guys, great times. Well done to Orla on the podium, great riding. We were blessed with the weather (not that it made me any quicker) , just started to rain properly when we were finished. Now seriously thinking about doing Ballyhoura
Was another great weekend of enduro biking on 3 rock... was great to be back on a big bike, always new it was going to be a tough one as 3rock is very hard unforgiving and hard to make back time if you make a mistake..
but i enjoyed it from start to finish, all the stages were deadly and challenging and will make 3 rock even more deadly to ride now.
well done to all the epic boys and girls who raced some great results..
Brilliant racing over the weekend. Great to see so many heads there. I just loved the trails that Niall and co set out, fast and technical. I think the shorter times on the stages suited my lack of fitness, even though after each stage I could barely talk or stand. Myself and Shona went around together, having the craic with everyone, cheering people on their stages as we cycled up, and getting cheered as we were going down. No major issues thankfully, except one over the bars moment on stage 2 I couldn't really complain. As usual after a Gravity Enduro I now cant wait for the next one and have great plans to get fit before it - we'll see how that goes!
